and Maximize Your POTENTIAL!
We help students to maximize their potential within the classroom, on their jobs and in daily life by promoting self-expression, self-confidence, and having fun while learning, working and socializing. While it may be true that every person may not become a professional artist, we all have artistic attributes that we exercise subconsciously every day.
We also feel that the arts precludes criminal and gang participation and provides our children and young adults with an avenue to express themselves and showcase their talents.
Our programs are designed to build skills; as well as, promote cognitive critical and creative thinking among all individuals.
Instruction that is integrated combines teaching in two or more subject areas. The purpose of integrated instruction is to help students gain a deep understanding of an important concept that is common to all the subjects involved. Student work is geared to specific goals and assessments in those subject areas.
By combining knowledge and thinking in different disciplines, students learn to apply knowledge learned in one area to challenges in another area—a skill that will serve them well—both in school and in real life. Arts integration means that the arts (dance, music, theatre and visual art) constitute one or more of the integrated subject areas.
Arts integration is not a substitute for teaching the arts as separate subjects. Rather it complements traditional arts instruction and helps to affirm the relevance of the arts in the school curriculum.
"The Arts have an incredible potential to heal the individual, and to heal communities at times of need and turmoil. BUT.... perhaps even more importantly, the arts can empower us to become agents ourselves towards the healing and empowerment of others." Author Unknown
"ARTS IN EDUCATION"
Arts In Education is very important to the mental, emotional and physical growth of every child. By exposing our children to the Arts, it allows them to explore their self inhibitions and personal expression of life. Our philosophy evolves around the old saying “The World is a Stage”.
We help students to maximize their potential within the classroom by promoting self-expression, self-confidence, and having fun while learning. While it may be true that every child may not become a professional artist, we all have artistic attributes that we exercise subconsciously everyday.
Think about it, Have you ever acted like you were surprised, sick, sleep, paying attention to a boring lecture or remember the time when your mother would say “ STOP ACTING LIKE A FOOL”?. A lot of times you probably deserved a Grammy award for your grande performance.
As for dance, if you can put one foot in front of the other, wave your arms from left to right or move your head up and down then you can dance! Dance is simply movement of the body to a rhythmic pattern. Everyone can dance, some people may just have different rhythms. That’s what makes the world so unique and exciting!
So...Go Ahead, Express Yourself!
Artistic expression is very important to the mental, emotional and physical growth of everyone. By exposing our communities to the Arts, it allows them to explore their self inhibitions and personal expressions of life through a multitude of creative inspirations that surround us everyday. Our philosophy evolves around the infamous phrase by William Shakespere, “All the World's a Stage”.
